Institute of Atomic Physics and Spectroscopy (IAPS) at the Faculty of Science and Technology conducts international-level fundamental and applied research in atomic physics, spectroscopy, photonics, quantum physics, medical physics and related interdisciplinary fields, such as medical biotechnology and nanotechnology. The institute develops new optical methods and devices for use in production, communications, medicine and environmental monitoring. High quality scientific work is ensured by qualified academic staff and science service personnel. Bachelor's, master's and doctoral students also participate in the development of ASI research projects. ASI scientists are actively involved in the study process, leading classes, laboratory work and student qualification work.
