The Institute of Physics of the Faculty of Science and Technology is one of the world’s leading centers in the field of magnetohydrodynamics (MHD), with unique experimental equipment for liquid metals. The institute conducts both fundamental and applied studies involving complex interactions between electromagnetic fields and liquid metals. These processes are important in sectors such as nuclear power, metallurgy, semiconductor crystal cultivation, as well as in medicine and nanotechnology. One of the most important achievements of the IPUL is the world's first MHD dynamo experiment.
