The Scientific Institute of Economics and Management is a structural unit of the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Latvia, comprising the faculty’s leading researchers, researchers, and research assistants.
The aim of the institute is to promote theoretical and applied research in management and economics, ensure the high-quality training of young scientists, and involve students in scientific research in order to enhance the international competitiveness of Latvian enterprises.
The main task of the institute is to implement research directions and projects relevant to society in the fields of economics, management, demography, environmental governance, and related areas, thereby contributing to the international recognition of the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences.
