Research interests
University of Latvia graduate in physics. Currently researcher at the Institute of Atomic Physics and Spectroscopy, Faculty of Science and Technology, University of Latvia. When Latvia re-gained independence, got re-trained in environmental physics and sustainable development, which is my primary interest at present.
Strong in research management: undergone in-service training in a number of European research managing institutions as well as in USA. Have managed more than ten National and European-scale projects.
In addition to research at the university, has been involved in European Framework programmes for Research – acted as National Contact Point for around 20-years and National representative to the Programme Committees and Joint Technology Platforms. Also, experience in European Framework programmes’ proposal evaluations.
