Research interests
Hasan Selcuk, PhD, is an Assistant Professor at the University of Latvia, Faculty of Educational Sciences and Psychology. Prior to joining the University of Latvia, he held a junior postdoctoral fellowship and subsequently worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Faculty of Education, Charles University (Prague). He received his PhD in Education and Professional Studies from King’s College London in 2017. His doctoral research examined learners’ perceptions of peer collaboration in English as a Foreign Language (EFL), with a particular focus on web-based collaborative writing.
His current work focuses on educational technology and teacher education, with particular interests in generative AI in education, AI literacy, and technology-enhanced language learning. He is actively involved in international research collaboration and Erasmus+ projects related to AI-supported teaching and learning.
