Short biography
Ineta Helmane is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Education, Psychology and Art, University of Latvia. She is Head of the Department of Preschool and Primary Education and has more than 25 years of experience in academic teaching and research in education sciences. Her research focuses on early mathematics education, emotional factors in mathematics learning, teacher education and professional development, and mathematics learning difficulties. Dr. Helmane has participated in several national and international research projects, including Erasmus+ initiatives related to robotics applications and innovative approaches in mathematics education. She is also the author and co-author of scientific publications and teaching materials for preschool and primary mathematics education.
