Short biography

Ireta Čekse is a Doctor of Educational Management, a leading researcher and an assistant professor at the University of Latvia. Her academic and scholarly work focuses on citizenship education, educational management and research methodology. At the University of Latvia, she leads educational research projects, teaches university courses and supports the academic development of students and early-career researchers. Since 2014, she has served as the National Research Coordinator in Latvia for the International Civic and Citizenship Education Study (ICCS). She is distinguished by her academic expertise, analytical precision and strong commitment to collaborative research and the advancement of higher education.
