Short biography

My research interests include dialectology and geolinguistics. I am particularly interested in how dialects emerge and change, how these changes are related to regional identity, culture, and history, how language varies across space and under the influence of different external factors, as well as in internal language change.

In my work, I seek to combine traditional dialectological methods with contemporary geolinguistic and digital approaches, working with data from field research and language mapping. I am interested not only in linguistic structure, but also in how people themselves perceive their language and their sense of place. I believe that the study of dialects is essential both for preserving linguistic diversity and for gaining a broader understanding of social processes.
