Short biography

 

Dr. Paed. Liesma Ose, Assistant Professor (Latvian academic rank: Docent) in the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Latvia, lectures in the bachelor’s program in Social Work. Between 2019 and 2023, Dr. Ose played an instrumental role in the Professional Social Work Development project under the Ministry of Welfare, significantly contributing to the advancement of social work as a discipline and the enhancement of higher education standards in Social Work across the nation. Her scholarly contributions encompass the authorship of numerous books, articles, and research papers, with a particular focus on social work, education, and social pedagogy.
