Short biography

Maija Krūmiņa, PhD, is a historian and Senior Researcher at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology, Faculty of Humanities, University of Latvia. Her research focuses on oral history and biographical methods, with particular attention to exile, memory, and post-exile transformations in the Latvian diaspora. She has participated in national research programmes and Latvian Council of Science–funded projects and currently leads a research project on post-exile communities after 1991.
