Abstract

The now available data about MHD generators with frame-type segmental elkectrodes are based on results of solving two-dimensional problems. In this study the authors propose a method of designing a conduction pump with slanted frame-type segmental electrodes which accounts for the three-dimensionality of the current distribution in the channel. Calculations are made for a uniform velocity profile with the magnetic Reynolds number Re//m less than less than 1.
