Abstract
The electrostriction in lead scandium tantalate PST ceramics with various degree of ordering in the B sublattice as well as Pb deficiency is investigated in the region of phase transition. The coefficient of electrostriction Q11 was found to be unaffected by the degree of ordering. The behavior of the field-induced deformation in PLZT 12/50/50 and PLZT 6/80/20 ceramics belonging to different regions of the phase diagram, is explained by the different characters of the phase transition in both cases.
