Electrooptic PLZT ceramics in infrared: Properties and applications

Abstract

Physical properties of PLZT ceramics essential for the design of the elements to control laser irradiation in the infrared spectrum range are reviewed. New applications of PLZT ceramics for extracavity modulation and Q-Switching of solid state laser irradiation are reported.
