Abstract
The description of a Er:Cr:YSGG laser with electrooptic PLZT ceramics Q-switching Fabry-Perot interferometer output mirror was presented. By applying short 3 μs negative voltage pulses, Q-switching was achieved. In PLZT ceramics the electro-optic effect was quadratic one and by increasing the DC bias and pulse control voltage it was possible to realize Q-switching down from the 3λ/4 Q-switch high-loss state through the 2λ/4 low-loss state.
