Abstract

Measured results are given of the excitation, absorption and luminescence spectra. Luminescence was excited by the light from a plasmatron. It was established that the localized states of sodium silicate glasses form their own intrinsic anisotropic luminescence centers with a luminescence band at 3. 4 eV. The intrinsic luminescence at 3. 4 eV may be associated with direct absorption of quanta from the exciting light by these centers.
