Abstract
Handbook on the Best Practices on AI Use – Volume II presents practical, classroom-ready examples of how Generative AI can be integrated into teaching and learning in responsible, creative, and pedagogically meaningful ways. Developed within the AI-EmpaTe project, this volume focuses on concrete practices that support teachers in using AI as a learning coach, creative partner, formative feedback tool, writing support, visual translator, and critical inquiry resource. The handbook is organised into four main groups: AI as a Socratic Tutor and Scaffold, AI as a Creative and Collaborative Partner, AI as a Critical Feedback and Analysis Tool, and AI as a Subject of Critical Inquiry. Each practice includes learning aims, classroom challenges, practical solutions, implementation steps, examples, reflection questions, and ethical considerations, making the handbook a useful resource for teachers, teacher educators, and education professionals seeking to integrate AI thoughtfully into classroom practice.
