Abstract
The invention relates primarily to metallurgical production technologies and equipment. The proposed device for dosing, transporting and mixing liquid metals and alloys in metallurgical blocks includes an annular channel (3) with inlet (6) and outlet (7) pipes for liquid metal, which are hydraulically connected to the metallurgical block tank (8), and a diametrically magnetized cylindrical magnetic dipole (11) coaxially mounted with the annular channel (3), which is equipped with its cutting means (13), moreover, a continuous partition (4) is installed in the annular channel (3) between the inlet (6) and outlet (7) nozzles, which is made of an electrically conductive material that is stable in a liquid metal environment and is in contact with the molten material. The proposed device allows to increase the efficiency of the electromagnetic effect on the melt, as it induces significantly higher values of induced electric current, including at large distances between the magnet surface and the melt, as well as to simplify the design and maintenance of the device.
