Abstract
Lithuanian lexicography started with multilingual dictionaries in the 17th century. The 19th to the 20th centuries saw the emergence of a monumental 20-volume dictionary of Lithuanian based on citations. Today bilingual and terminological dictionaries dominate the lexicography scene with electronic resources well developed.
