Abstract
The intrinsic magnetic fields in magnetic fluids play an important role in the hydrodynamic and physical phenomena which occur within these. The present study presents the derivation of equations which describe the dynamics of the front of a ferrocolloid concentration subjected to the forces of its intrinsic field. Here, on the basis of numerical modeling we have demonstrated the stability of a one-dimensional self-similar solution for two-dimensional perturbations. This result bears out that hydrodynamic phenomena play a significant role in the formation of magnetic-particle concentration front structures.
