Abstract

A possibility to use MHD facilities with permanent magnets in real metallurgical technologies, mainly for aluminium alloys melts with the operating temperatures ≤ 700 ° C is assessed. Results of theoretical and experimental investigations on aluminium pumping and/or stirring obtained with a developed MHD model are presented.
