Abstract
Different methods are applied for growing of sodium β-alumina single crystals with large size and good optical quality appropriate for optical studies and ions exchange. Comparative analysis of X-ray diffraction patterns. Cr3+ luminescence and Raman scattering spectra are used to determine the optimum method of crystal growth.
