Abstract
This study experimentally investigates the photovoltaic performance and optical properties of a ternary heterostructure incorporating newly synthesized indium silver sulfide (InAgS) quantum dots (QDs): ITO/ PEDOT:PSS/ P3HT:C70:InAgS QDs/ BCP/ Al. We analyze the spectral response of this hybrid system in comparison to the well-established P3HT:C70 binary structure described extensively in scientific literature. Our analysis reveals that the incorporation of InAgS QDs induces a distinct spectral evolution, extending the photo-response beyond the conventional limits of the P3HT:C70 blend. We report on the photovoltaic parameters of the synthesized ternary device, which exhibited a short-circuit current of 31.2 nA, an open-circuit voltage of 0.37 V, fill factor (FF) of 22% and a power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 6.9×10-7 %.
