Kopsavilkums

The authors present a new fast spherical approximation (FSA) for the calculation of multiple-scattering contributions in X-ray absorption fine structure. The experimental XAFS spectra of the Re L₃ edge in ReO₃, W L₃ edge in NaWO₃ and the Mo K edge in MoO₃ are analysed by the new approach. It is shown that the FSA gives good results for their description both in the high and low energy ranges.
