Kopsavilkums

By comparing the parameters of the luminescence of vitreous silica activated by sodium and the intrinsic luminescence of a sodium silicate glass, the authors showed that the model of localized states in a sodium silicate glass in the form of the Si-O--Na+ structure is a good approximation. The role of the triplet excited levels in the luminescence of localized states of the sodium silicate glass and the Si-OMIN-Na+ centers in vitreous silica has been confirmed. The attenuation of the intrinsic luminescence of sodium silicate glass and the Si-O--Na+ center in vitreous silica contains a intracenter stage. The difference between the afterglow of the Si-O--Na+ center in Na2O·3SiO2 lies in the recombination stage of luminescence in the time region from 0.2-10 msec, which is absent in sodium-containing vitreous silica.
