Kopsavilkums

The luminescence of KF, KMgF₃, KCaF₃ and solid solutions KFRbF was studied under excitation with 6 keV electron pulses. Electronic transitions from the F^- 2p valence band to the K⁺ 3p core band result in a specific "crossluminescence" in the 6-9 eV region with decay time < 2 ns. In the KFRbF solid solutions the transitions from the F^- 2p valence band to the Rb⁺ 4p localized states or to the corresponding impurity band gives rise to luminescence bands at 5.4 and 6.1 eV as in pure RbF.
