title = "Electrooptic PLZT ceramics for computer controlled illumination of biological objects",
abstract = "The use of the transparent PLZT ceramics as the electrooptic element in a computer-controlled laser modulator broadens laser applications to include the biomedical fields. The material was chosen for its extremely high electrooptic coefficients, broad transparency range, high resistance to damage and low production cost. The modulator can be used in the visible and near infrared spectral ranges with minimal operative procedures. To demonstrate the function of the modulator, the operative principles of the whole set-up are described.",
