Kopsavilkums

Lunar Exploration has increased the limitations in comparison with the fieldwork carried out on Earth from logistics to goals and procedures. Since the only experience we have of geological fieldwork is from the Apollo Program, it becomes imperative to look back to the work carried out by those astronauts and learn from it. The landing sites and the goals were very different in each mission. The procedures to perform the experiments and the traverses were carefully planned in order to control and avoid unexpected and dangerous situations. Today, our understanding of the Moon and technology are more advanced than those in the 60's and the planning and performance of fieldwork must be adapted to this new frame. However, testing procedures in moon analog environments are still necessary.
