abstract = "As introduction to session 3.2 A Moon Exploration of IAC 2011 Space Exploration Symposium, we give an overview of recent lunar highlights as compiled by ILEWG and the COSPAR Panel on Exploration. This session is dedicated to present recent results and developments from lunar exploration. It includes a suite of presentations on: status of current orbiters, the description of the European Student Moon Orbiter ESMO, an overview of the current Google Lunar X prize GLXP, and of technical and mission developments by some GLXP teams ; the development of instruments for Chandrayaan-2 rover and the study status for Japanese Moon Landers Selene-2. The session is to end with a panel discussion with the participants on the results and legacy of recent and current lunar missions (SMART-1, Kaguya, Chang' E1 and 2, Chandrayaan-1, LCROSS, LRO, GRAIL).",
