title = "Investigation of advanced ceramics including optical second harmonic generation",
abstract = "The basic ferroelectric (FE) and superconductive (SC) properties of artificial ceramic composites containing SC and FE grains have been tested. The coexistence and interaction of SC and FE components have been detected by means of second optical harmonic, resistivity, and AC magnetic susceptibility measurements. Since the superconductive properties of the composites do not deteriorate too much, the thermally and spatially controlled spontaneous deformation of the FE component seems to be suitable for a controlled adjustment of superconductive properties, in particular flux pinning, in these composites.",
