Kopsavilkums
The alkali silicate systems with various concentrations of lead are used in optical glass-making for the creation of a broad class of flint glasses. The presence of lead and its quantitative relationship with other components of the matrix also mainly determine the optical and spectral properties of the above flints. Hence it has become necessary to study the spectroscopic behavior of lead in silicate glasses. In the present study, it is made a combined study of the spectroscopic properties of alkali silicate glasses activated by lead ions. The excitation and luminescence spectra were measured using the standard methods on serially produced instruments.
