title = "Operational lessons learned from human-robotic partnership in exogeology analog extravehicular activity simulation at eifel volcanic region: ILEWG euro moon mars",
abstract = "In future space exploration human-robotic partnership will play a key role. Personal carriers, robots and autonomous scouting drones will enhance and optimize extravehicular activity time and science yield from extraterrestrial expeditions. During the analog EVA (Extravehicular Activity) simulations performed in Eifel, Germany region European Space Agency \& ILEWG scientists and research collaborators tested proof of concept for the human-robotic partnership, EVA procedures and operations for geological sampling of the sedimentary layers in former volcanic activity location. This paper shows comparative results from field spectroscopy and laboratory work. Lessons learned for future EVA simulations are described and mainly focused on improvement of communication issues.",
