Kopsavilkums
This paper discusses some atypical syntactic constructions in some Livonianized subdialects of Latvian: prepositions ar and par + noun or pronoun in the genitive case, and verb + noun or pronoun in the genitive case. In literary Latvian, the nouns and pronouns in these constructions are usually in the accusative case. Although this peculiarity is often found in dialect materials and Latvian folk songs, it is not considered to be a typical feature of the Livonianized dialect of Latvian. The reason might be the fact that the syntactic features of dialects have not yet been much researched in Latvian dialectology. There are, nevertheless, a few theoretical studies and subdialect data that show these constructions as rather widespread. The aim of this paper is to show the distribution and sustainability of these syntactic constructions in the Livonianized dialect of Latvian (mostly in its subdialects spoken in the Kurzeme region). We can conclude that this feature is typical in the subdialects of the Talsi district and might also be characteristic of other Livonianized subdialects. For this purpose, more dialect materials should be studied in order to confirm this as a typical feature of the Livonianized dialect of Latvian.
